We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant as a maternity substitute to join our passionate Finance department at our HQ in Aalborg. Our new Finance Assistant will play a key role of being responsible for recording and organizing all financial transactions including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and payroll in a systematic and organized manner. The position is a temporary maternity cover, but with the perfect match, the possibility of permanent employment can be an option.
You become part of a team of dedicated Shapers whose focus is going the extra mile and delivering high-quality tasks with focus on both building and operating a strong finance setup. You will be referring to our Accountant Manager and work closely with your colleagues in the department.
In the role of Finance Assistant, your main tasks will be to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the SHAPING NEW TOMORROW Group. Hence, you will play an important role in our Finance team by being responsible for the following tasks:
- Day-to-day update of the bookkeeping, including:
- Banks and Pleo
- Bills handling (automated system and scanning)
- Accounts reconciliation etc.
- Reconciliation of accounts and vendors
- End-of-month assistance and closing
- Assistance with Payroll
- VAT and tax compliance
To succeed as a Finance Assistant at SHAPING NEW TOMORROW, you must be an integrated part of the Finance team and value cooperation with your teammates, but at the same time, you are able to solve your tasks with great independence with the areas of responsibility.
Financial expertise combined with a structured mindset
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with bookkeeping in similar positions, and it is an advantage to have experience from an E-commerce company.
Advanced excel skills are required, and we expect you to have strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and accounting software. Fluent communication skills in English and Danish are a must to easily communicate with colleagues, both in written and verbal form.
